GPS or MAP

Since GPS landed , maps have become virtually obsolete, being the ugly girl in the party, anyone use them?

I am a nostalgic or deluded and I love them, or perhaps is the fact that I like to control and follow the line I want, turn them over to the map, or understand where I go, and distrust of the "little voice". I never liked being told what I have to do, ever, and still the little voice gives me a feeling among disability and laziness, moreover I love deploy a map, follow the path with the finger, understand the latitude, location, or I have two radical options, follow my nose, or just get lost, that's wonderful, not following map either guide, most, not pre-determined to anything worse in case you need to get to a point, who said the shortest path is GPS? I realized my love for maps when at the beginning of GPS era, one of them dropped me off  circling around a roundabout on the outskirts of London, feeling ridiculous, did not know where I was ...

I would not trust someone who follows a GPS? I will keep true to my beloved maps, GPS and shot occasionally, and Ohhh YEEEES,  I get lost eventually...

Placemaking with Purpose: How PADZZLE Transforms Spaces into Destination

For PADZZLE, placemaking isn’t just a buzzword — it’s our mission. We were honored to be the very first guest on  Coffee Convos with Kelsi Cory , where our founder, Anna Domingo , shared how we approach real estate with a unique blend of purpose, people, and profit. “Placemaking, in our case, we do placemaking with purpose. This is pretty much our trademark,” Anna explained. “Our mantra is to provide purpose, profit, people-centered.” Interview link here: https://youtu.be/yVD_KeA5Qds?t=104 Whether we’re breathing new life into an existing building through adaptive reuse or conceptualizing a brand-new mixed-use development from scratch, our goal is always the same: to create spaces that foster connection, belonging, and joy. PADZZLE collaborates with developers, architects, and communities to transform spaces into places people truly love. From vibrant public plazas to reimagined commercial corridors, our projects are rooted in both local identity and global insight. Wit...

#Destinationtalk // Qatar Blink is not the promised journey from A to ?

Qatar sounds like an exotic and wealthy destination, a country where everything is possible. What are your thoughts on this topic?  What has been your brand awareness exposure? Qatar is heading major development targeting international commitments like Fifa World Cup 2020 and bidding on the Olympic games. The country is working towards their National 2030 Goal - a National effort to position Qatar as a developed nation in front of the world. There are several major players providing Qatar an international uplift and modern image, including #Qatarairways, the national airline carrier.  Qatarairways is the most visible brand exposure for Qatar on global basis. Qatarairways major visibility is based in two strategic lines. The first strategic line is through major sponsorships such as the Barcelona soccer team,  #Barça. The Barça sponsorship brings, by brand association, the coolest upbeat and hip destination, #Barcelona, to Qatar while at the same time securing broad glo...

#Destinationtalk // Spinning the wheels

Can you remember the London skyline prior to the London Eye (TLE)?   Well, if you do it is a clear indication of your age - meaning you are older than 14. I vividly remember when "The London Eye" was launched for the millennium celebrations. TLE was the most remarkable and memorable venue ever conceived by mankind. As a venue and attraction, TLE was a crazy concept that went beyond expectations, it achieved and continues to achieve great success.  London took a risk placing the wheel in the heart of the city, embracing and pioneering a new way of sightseeing – thanks to the creative imagination and engineering folks who took the risk of designing such an incredible landmark. Pioneers and visionaries of such extravagant and unique ideas are not always properly acknowledged and all too often their revolutionary ideas do not become a reality. Actualization of these unique opportunities requires strong decision makers who fully see the long term benefit instead of t...
